Esi’s House of Hope is a supportive housing and career pathways program for young mothers, grounded in trauma-informed care and holistic development. We are committed to providing a nurturing, flexible, and resource-rich environment for young women to thrive.


Position Summary


The Part-Time Program Director will lead and manage the day-to-day operations of three core program areas. This dynamic hybrid role combines community engagement, event coordination, administrative responsibilities, and support for residents in achieving life and career goals. The ideal candidate is a proactive, relationship-driven leader who thrives in a mission-centered, startup-like environment.


Key Responsibilities


1. Community Engagement & Program Coordination


  • Plan and coordinate community events and workshops for young moms.
  • Build and maintain relationships with program participants, community stakeholders, and guest speakers.
  • Lead house meetings and facilitate life skills and career readiness curricula.
  • Identify and connect young moms with resources and services in the community.
  • Execute trauma-informed practices in all interactions and program design.
  • Manage and track event logistics, expenses, and participant feedback.


2. Administrative & Project Support


  • Support workforce development initiatives through email, scheduling, and follow-ups.
  • Manage communication with partners and respond to program inquiries.
  • Assist the House Manager in property-related tasks (e.g., chore chart reinforcement, rule setting).
  • Maintain accurate records of participant engagement and program activities.
  • Conduct interviews with potential program participants, facilitate program onboarding, and document career progress.


3. Logistics & Operations


  • Pick up and manage supply donations (e.g., diapers) from stores, partners, or storage.
  • Coordinate and host site visits from funders, donors, and community partners.
  • Maintain accurate records of participant engagement and program activities and outcomes
  • Maintain regular communication and documentation on participant progress and needs.


Qualifications


  • Minimum of 1–2 years in trauma-informed care, case management, social work, or related fields.
  • Background in working with historically marginalized or trauma-impacted populations.
  • Strong project management and administrative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in evolving, start-up environments.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must pass a background check.


Work Environment & Schedule


  • Hybrid: Some work-from-home flexibility, with required on-site duties at the resident home in Baltimore, MD.
  • Occasional use of a Mid-town Belvedere Baltimore office is required.
  • Flexible scheduling with availability for occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Autonomy in setting hours in coordination with meetings and programming needs.
